The local economy for this small town is based on 'broadacre farming' as the Liverpool Plains has very fertile soil. Livestock farming is also prevalent. It is south of Tamworth, and east of Gunnedah, about 350 NNW of Sydney. This sign is at the northern entry to the town, on Werris Creek Road.
