Created by an ice dam that reached 600 meters | 2,000 feet high close to current day Clark Fork, Idaho, Glacial Lake Missoula stretched some 320 kilometres | 200 miles flooding various valleys of northern Idaho and northwestern Montana.

High above the valley floor, you can see ripple features of Glacial Lake Missoula. This commanding view of this enormous lake from the Ice Age.
