Manhole cover in the Market Street of Gotha, which commemorates the construction of the Leina Canal 1369.

The Leina Canal is a medieval man-made stream created to supply the water-poor city of Gotha. The technical monument still carries water from the Thuringian Forest over almost 30 km to Gotha.
