The "Haus zum Sonneborn" dates back to the Renaissance, but little is known about the history, and it can be assumed that this house once served as a hunter's store, with the two holes in the wall next to the entrance indicating its own use as a beer house.
In the early 80s, however, it was so dilapidated that one considered his demolition.
Fortunately, the city fathers decided then for a restoration or reconstruction. The magnificent Renaissance portal from 1536 and a few of the half-timbered were preserved.
Today, the house serves as a registry office and the magnificent portal provides a fitting setting after the ceremony.
