150 Mile House is one of many roadhouses that were established along the Cariboo Wagon Road. The Cariboo gold rush began around 1860 and these roadhouses provided supplies, and a respite for weary gold seekers and their pack animals. 150 Mile House was so named because it was located 150 Miles from Lillooet (Mile 0) of the Cariboo Wagon Road.
