" Cette tour construite au XII ème siècle borde la Loire, puis réaménagée en 1419. A l'époque médiévale c'est une tour de garde ronde qui marque l'angle des remparts face à la Loire.
Son architecture fût modifiée et la tour transformée en moulin à vent au cours du XVII ème siècle ce qui explique son allure actuelle. Elle servi également de lieu de réunion pour les pêcheurs ou pour les Nivernais.
Son nom original est ‘la tour de Cuffy’. Elle porte aujourd’hui le nom Goguin, nom de de son ancien propriétaire qui l'a vendu en 1906. "

Its architecture was modified and the tower turned into a windmill during the seventeenth century which explains its current look. It also served as a meeting place for fishermen or for Nivernais.
Its original name is 'Cuffy's Tower'. Today, it bears the name Goguin, the name of its former owner who sold it in 1906. "
