Big old anchor from the HMCS Fraser destroyer in Cenotaph Park.

A 4000 lb. anchor from the St. Laurent class HMCS destroyer Fraser. The chain attached was rated at 82 tons strength. Her home port was Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Located on 51st Ave., just west of 50th St., in the same block as the Anglican Cemetery.

The anchor is displayed amongst other military items, plus the war memorial for those who served. Across the street is a huge mural depicting members of the military, with each person listed and numbered on a plaque near the anchor.
