The Grand Opening for this YMCA at Mitch Park was February 3, 2014. Mitch Park is Edmond's largest and most popular recreation area, and the YMCA is currently one of the biggest draws to the park.
Mitch Park YMCA has a large swimming pool, with a slide that curves along the outside of the building (see gallery). A swimming-themed sculpture is located at the main entrance.
There are so many programs offered at this YMCA: SwimJitsu, Swim Lessons, Youth Sports, weight room, cardio equipment, child care, before and after-school care, and Summer Camp to name a few. Although this YMCA gets very busy and the parking lot is crowded, this is a big park, and the nearby parking lots can also be used by guests to the facility.
