DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
In addition to the uncertainty mentioned above, the Smithsonian has a duplicate listing (https://siris-artinventories.si.edu/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=1A63896IH7775.7421&profile=ariall&source=~!siartinventories&view=subscriptionsummary&uri=full=3100001~!297629~!7&ri=7&aspect=Keyword&menu=search&ipp=20&spp=20&staffonly=&term=evanston,+Illinois&index=.GW&uindex=&oper=&term=post+office&index=.OW&uindex=&aspect=Keyword&menu=search&ri=7) titled "Going North 2", with a photo. The data on this listing is more complete, however the title is inaccurate. So the Smithsonian needs to combine these listings into one correct version.
