Frau Lingshuang Jiang (geb. 22.01.1994) stammte aus China und hat dort bereits erfolgreich Lebensmittelwissenschaft und Ingenieurwesen studiert. 2018 kam sie nach Deutschland, um an der Bonner Universität Lebensmitteltechnologie zu studieren. Am 03.06.2019 wurde sie an der Kreuzung Bornheimer Straße / Heinrich-Böll-Ring auf dem Fahrrad von einem abbiegenden LKW übersehen und überfahren. Wenig später verstarb sie im Krankenhaus an ihren Verletzungen.

Am 02.07. hat der Allgemeine Deutsche Fahrrad-Club (ADFC) in Gedenken an die Studentin in der Nähe der Kreuzung ein weiß gestrichenes Geisterrad aufgestellt. Das angebrachte Schild beinhaltet nicht ihren Namen, nur ihr Alter und das Datum des Unfalls. Vor dem Rad steht ein Glas mit einer Lichterkette, die abends automatisch angeht. Die Landwirtschaftliche Fakultät der Universität Bonn hat eine Traueranzeige veröffentlicht.

Ms. Lingshuang Jiang (born 22 January 1994) came from China and has already successfully studied food science and engineering there. In 2018 she came to Germany to study food technology at the University of Bonn. On 06/03/2019 she was overlooked on the bike by a turning truck at the crossing Bornheimer Straße / Heinrich-Böll-Ring and run over. A little later, she died of her injuries at the hospital.

On 07/02 the bicycle club ADFC has set up a white painted ghost bike in memory of the student near the intersection. The attached sign does not include her name, only her age and the date of the accident. In front of the bike is a glass with a string of lights, which comes on automatically in the evening. The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bonn has published a bereavement announcement.
