Approaching the co-ordinates, carefully check the west side of West Thomas Street for the Izaak Walton League signs and the narrow entrance to the small parking lot. The following text is taken from the AllTrails web site.
Pitch Pine Bog Conservation Area Nature Trail is a 2.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Rome, New York that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
