"A kugel ball is a fountain made of a stone sculpted sphere, supported by a thin film of water that allows it to turn on its base, it has two parts:
a sphere of stone, generally granite, polished and weighing up to several tons;
a base having a concave spherical base of the same curvature as the sphere.
In the center of the block, a water inlet allows to separate it from the sphere, which floats on a film of incompressible liquid. Lubricated, it is possible to turn on the base, and even to be put in motion with a simple touch of a finger.
Water escaping from the sides of the base is pumped back to the center for reinjection. "

"Une kugel ball est une fontaine constituée d'une sphère sculptée en pierre, supportée par un mince film d'eau qui lui permet de tourner sur son socle, elle comporte deux parties :
une sphère de pierre, généralement en granite, polie et pouvant peser jusqu'à plusieurs tonnes ;
un socle comportant une base concave sphérique de même courbure que la sphère.
Au centre du bloc, une arrivée d'eau permet de le séparer de la sphère, laquelle flotte ainsi sur un film de liquide incompressible. Lubrifiée, il lui est possible de tourner sur le socle, et même d'être mise en mouvement d'une simple pression d'un doigt.
L'eau qui s'échappe sur les côtés du socle est pompée et renvoyée au centre, afin d'être réinjectée. "
