The nature center has 1.5 miles of trails wandering through a granite boulder studded basin among Ponderosa pines. Forty-one species of native plants are tagged, giving visitors an idea of the plants that would be suitable for their own yards. A small pond is a magnet for birds. There is free parking and the garden is open from 7 AM to sunset at no cost.
