The simple gravesite of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, President John F. Kennedy's younger brother, who was considered by many as a prime presidential candidate until assassinated at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968.
According to his wishes, his grave is marked with a simple white cross, the only such one in Arlington. There is a Memorial sitting/viewing area slightly downhill from the grave, designed by famed architect I.M. Pei.
What makes this site noteworthy is that for years it was not identified on the the official Arlington National Cemetery tourist map, thus making it a rarely visited site, even with its close proximity to the JFK Memorial Grove.
The gravesite has been added to Roadside America in hopes of improving visitation here.
