This corner of the Jardin des Arénes de Cimiez is a very popular place to play boule. There are no separated playfields (at least they are not obviously visible), but when we were there, at least two groups of players were playing and there was enough room for more groups. There is no special sign, but the local players seem to know and like this place. There were players when we were there and there are players on Google Streetview. The only thing (apart from the players we saw) that indicates that this is a boule area, is the fact that there are small square frames around each tree, so that the balls that would hit the trees don't bounce off in random direction. There is also a barrier to keep the balls from rolling on the pavement. Around the area there are several benches for the spectators.
