Fraser Canyon Community Church is a small church most likely another denomination when first built. There is a small sign to the right of the entrance with 11 am hand written under the sign.
The church is white with wooden steps and hand railings and a wheelchair ramp leading to the front entrance. It is located in an established neighborhood.
Boston Bar has an interesting history originally built on the Fraser River and the town was forced to move to higher ground when the river flooded in 1984. Today Boston Bar is primarily supported by the sawmills in the area and of course logging. Tourism is also a large part of the revenue generated in the community as Hwy. 97 runs right through town. There was at one time an aerial tramway that crossed the Fraser River to North Bend in 1940. Gold was discovered on the Fraser River in 1856.
