People stopped hy the window of the old Quesnel Ski & Sports on Reid Street - [piqued] by curiosity. John Courtney struggled on a silver ladder to drape a Cycle Logic banner across the front window. The white banner kept slipping down, moving the Cycle Logic logo sideways.
Courtney is opening a new combined store in the space where Quesnel Ski and Sport and Gold City Travel used to reside.
Courtney has managed Cycle Logic on the corner of St. Laurent Avenue for a few years, but has thought about owning his own store for two years.
Right now the two stores are a gutted mess, with bits of tile and carpet strewn across the floor. The wall that once separated the two stores is demolished, creating more space.
In a few short days - Tuesday - the new combined store will open to the public. Cycle Logic and Courtney's store Rocky Peak Adventure Gear is really two stores in one.
Cycle Logic offers customers the same services it did at the St. Laurent location - bicycle gear, bicycles and bicycle repairs. Rocky Peak Adventure Gear offers equipment such as outdoor gear, camping, paddling, hiking and running gear for consumers.
Courtney said entering the store, consumers won't notice they are really two separate stores...
...Cycle Logic and Rocky Peak Adventure Gear Opens May 1, located on Reid Street.
