The facade of the house Querstraße 7 in Gotha is decorated in a window niche with a sculpture of the Roman god Mercurius. This is due to the fact that the Merkur drugstore used to be located in the house.
Mercury is a major god in Roman religion and mythology, being one of the 12 Dii Consentes within the ancient Roman pantheon.
