Most all of the original steel and wood truss bridges along the Yellowhead have been replaced by now with less aesthetic steel girder and reinforced concrete bridges. This one, over the Barriere River, is actually in the town of Barriere. 89C026 is monumented in the northwest face of northwest abutment at far west corner of the bridge. Directly below the dated (1957) end post, the benchmark is about 6 to 8 inches below road level.
