Cache Creek Cemetery is located in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District in British Columbia. This is a rather small cemetery and well maintained.

All interments are flush graves stones this also includes the older grave stones which some are broken and not legible. There are a columbarium and scattering garden that are newer additions as well as a section for environmentally conscious green burials.

Though this cemetery appears to be rather new with its new additions and a nice entrance, based on the known interments it is most likely was established about 1885. The first known burial was an infant William Milton Collins who was born on September 23, 1884 and passed away April 20, 1885 he was only 6 months of age. May he rest in peace.

Update: Cache Creek Cemetery was first established as the Collins Family Cemetery by this pioneering family. John Gerome Collins was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1851, and arrived in the Cache Creek area in 1874. The Collins Family Cemetery was abandoned and neglected until 2006. The Village of Cache Creek decided to establish a cemetery either by upgrading the Collins family cemetery or purchasing another property.

In 2007, it was decided to rename the Collins Family Cemetery to what is currently Cache Creek Cemetery.

In 2009, the cemetery was completely renovated, some unmarked graves were identified and a commemorative stone was placed honoring the legacy of the Collins family.

The Collins family
was the first to use this site as a burial area.

This stone has been placed in memory of members
of the Collins family who are buried in this cemetery
and the history of the Collins family
in Cache Creek.
