"After his marriage, Howsley worked in his father's hardware store for several years and the entered the Ford business as a dealer in Throckmorton. In 1916 he opened his first theater. In 1924 he opened another theater, and in 1927 he opened the Texan Theater which he operated for many years."

"The offices of the Throckmorton County Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation and work unit of the Soil Conservation Service are being moved this week into a new location.

These two offices have been located in the Correll cafe building just northwest of the courthouse. They will now occupy the building in which the Texan Theater was located until recently.

The building has been remodeled and partitioned off to provide office accommodations for the two farm agencies.
