Lac La Hache, a little town, sitting along Lac La Hache lake in British Columbia. It is known as “The Longest Town on the Cariboo”. Excellent fishing is its claim to fame - kokanee and lake trout.

The PO address is 97 Hwy; however, there is no access from Hwy 97. You need McDougal Road. There is no numbered address. Lac La Hache is 12 km north of 108 Mile Ranch and 22 km south of 141 Mile Ranch.
The population is around 260 - more during fishing season/tourist season. The PO backs the lake.

The PO is fully stocked with all the shipping materials anyone could need.
The lake out back is a great place for swimming, boating, parasailing, waterskiing, and camping. There is 18 kilometers of shoreline. Wintertime brings ice fishing, cross country skiing, skating and dog sledding. And nearby Mt. Timothy has downhill ski runs.

What brought you here?: The first time through here was to go tent camping at 100 mile lake, although I don't think it's called that anymore. My kids were kids - now they have grown kids. So, adventure seeking brought me along the gold rush trail through Canada.
