Environ 30 km au nord de Baie-Comeau, sur un ancien chemin forestier, nous arrivons aux chutes à Gadou. (Gadou Falls) sur la rivière aux Anglais. Le bas des chutes s’élargit dans un joli bassin sableux. C'est un endroit très prisé pour la baignade et les pique-niques en été. Au printemps, le volume d’eau résultant de la fonte des neiges crée des chutes d’eau très impressionnantes et le bassin est plein, mais plus tard en été, l’eau se retire et une belle piscine naturelle à l'eau claire est à votre disposition. Un endroit très populaire qui peut être atteint en voiture, avec un grand stationnement le long de la route.
About 30kms north of Baie-Comeau on an old logging road, we come to the Chutes à Gadou. (Gadou Falls) on the English River. The bottom of the falls widens out into a nice sandy basin. This is a very popular spot for swimming and picnics in the summer. In the spring the volume of water from the snow melt makes for a very impressive water falls and the basin is full, but later in the summer, the water recedes and a nice clear pool is there for the taking. A very popular place that can be reached by car, with ample parking along the road..
