The Portico dei Leoni was built in two phases: in the late eighteenth century by Antonio Asprucci and completed by Luigi Canina in the early nineteenth century.

Inside the portico, transformed into a small antiquarium, are engraved tombstones, fragments and ancient inscriptions.

The front garden has been refurbished with exotic plants and essences. In the past, water gushed from the mouths of the four lions.
