The port is home to fishing boats and boaters. It is protected by an amazing curved pier.
It is a pleasure to watch a small traditional sailboat leave the harbor and hoist her sails.
The harbor is the ideal starting point for strolling through the pedestrian streets of the center, or for a short walk on the seafront promenade which leaves on the left side of the harbor, on the side of the curved jetty.
The bistros and restaurants of the docks
The restaurants, bistros, some with terraces directly at the edge of the dock, are still very busy.
Arrange for lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants or pubs of the port. You have the choice.

Le port de La Flotte-en-Ré, pêche et plaisance
Le petit port et les quais sont toujours vivants, quelle que soit la saison.
Les belles façades des demeures alignées le long des quais donnent une grande harmonie à l'ensemble.
Le port accueille les bateaux de pêche et les plaisanciers. Il est protégé par une étonnante jetée courbe.
C'est un plaisir de suivre des yeux un petit voilier traditionnel quitter le port et hisser ses voiles.
Le port est le point de départ idéal pour flâner dans les rues piétonnes du centre, ou pour une petite marche sur la promenade du front de mer qui part sur la gauche du port, du côté de la jetée courbe.
Les bistrots et restaurants des quais
Les restaurants, bistrots, certains avec terrasses directement au bord du quai, sont toujours très fréquentés.
Arrangez vous pour déjeuner ou dîner dans un des restaurants ou bistrots du port. Vous avez le choix.
