A plaque at Coburg Fortress commemorates the stay of reformer Martin Luther in 1530. The plaque displays Luther and Psalm 118:17: Non moriar sed vivam et narrabo opera Domini (I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD).

Main Belt Asteroid 7100 Martin Luther was discovered on September 29 1973 by Dutch astronomers C. J. van Houten and I. van Houten-Groeneveld and named after the religious reformer.
