Deinhard's peace is a memorial stone on the Seeberg for Ernst Friedrich Deinhard (1842 - 1897), a landowner who came to Gotha as a pensioner to spend the rest of his life here. In his honour, a monument with a table was erected above the limestone quarry, as he bequeathed 35,000 Marks to the city of Gotha for the construction of a bathing establishment with swimming pool (today's city bath), which should meet the needs of all strata of the population. Inspired by repeated donations from the widow of E. F. Deinhard, a refuge was added to the vantage point in 1901. From the log cabin you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Inselsberg and a large part of the Rennsteig.
