This benchmark will require a short hike. To reach parking, take Deer Park Road north from Liberty Road (Maryland route 26) to the Soldiers Delight overlook, on your left. The best approach is to park at the Soldiers Delight overlook along Deer Park Road, and hike northward along the Serpentine trail to the power lines. Follow the power lines north and then turn right into the woods as you approach the mark. Mark is in an open area about 135 feet from JV6027, on a concrete monument approximately 6” high.
