Churchill Tank
The British-built Churchill tank saw action for the first time during the Dieppe raid, in 1942, where it was used by Canadians.
This Churchill has extensions to its air intakes and engine exhausts like those used during the raid. The British designed the Churchill tank for broken, cratered terrain. The resulting tank was slow, but protected by heavy armour. The Churchill also served as the basis for a number of tanks with specialized functions. British Churchills equipped with combat engineering equipment landed with Canadians on D-Day.
