This is the place to wait if you want a Greyhound, Buslines, or Busways coach. The Information Centre sells some tickets to various companies. The Lakes Way skirts to the east of Wallis Lake and then bypasses a couple more lakes to the south. Buses would generally be traveling between Sydney and Brisbane, and just south of Taree and north of Bulahdelah make the scenic route which away from any train line service.
The shops aren't too far away if you want something quick to eat. You may need your loved ones to pick you up, or catch a taxi, as the local bus service is not as regular as in the city.
There are a few car parks in the turning area.
