The ISS reached a high altitude of 45 degrees at 21:37:44 CDT with an expected magnitude of -3.0 at our Site 1 in Edmond, OK. The viewing location was near the intersection of Memorial Road and Benson Rd, in a relatively empty parking lot. We observed from approximately 21:34:30 until approximately 21:40:24.
From this location we observed the ISS rise in the northwest, make a close brush of the moon (SkyView Live screenshot attached), pass directly over the star Regulus (brightest in the constellation Leo), pass near Spica in the constellation Virgo, and disappear in the southeast a little south from Jupiter rising.
At Site 2 in Harlingen, TX at 21:39:32 CDT 8NutsMotherGoose observed the ISS reached a maximum altitude of 46 degrees at a magnitude of -3.2. The distance covered was 527 miles (1.8 min. x 293 mi./min.) from Edmond to Harlingen.
