V roce 1921 odkoupila zámek Ceskoslovenská republika a udelala z nej letní sídlo ceskoslovenských prezidentu. Hradní architekt Josip Plecnik provádel parkové úpravy a socha se mu do nich nehodila. Nechal ji proto odstranit.

ENG: 109 years ago (1910) a hunting exhibition was held in Vienna, attended by Prince Fürstenberg with his wife. Rothberger's bronze sculpture of the "Scottish Hunter" was also available for sale at the exhibition. The Fürstenberg family liked it so much that they bought it and had it brought to Lány.
The statue was set in the English park of Lany near the castle. In 1921, the Czechoslovak Republic bought the castle and made it a summer residence of Czechoslovak presidents. The castle architect Josip Plecnik carried out park arrangements and the statue was not suitable for them. So he had it removed.
The "Scottish Hunter" was then relocated to Nove Dvory and stayed there until 2002. The new era also brought new problems, and the bronze sculpture threatened to become a concern for metal thieves. For fear of theft, the Office of the President of the Czech Republic had her relocated to the premises of the Amálie pheasantry.
In 2018, the statue was relocated to the Lány Forest Management Building on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic (which no longer exists).
