This 15-foot high Topiary Poodle in the San Fernando Valley was sheered to life by North Hills resident Brian Welch approximately twenty years ago from ivy overgrowing on a telephone pole.

Weird California:
The telephone pole serves us the dog's chest and front legs with the head hanging off over the street. The dog's body is built around a horizontal support wire. It's somewhere from twelve to fifteen feet in height. Additionally there are paw prints in the sidewalk nearby the topiary hedge.
During the December holiday time, this poodle is transformed into a reindeer, complete with red nose, antlers and a red bow around its neck.
