This unique, stylized ironwork once adorned the front of the Giles County High School, located on West Hill from 1937 until 1961. It covered two windows at the front entrance and along the roof above the gymnasium and auditorium.

It, along with four acres of land, was sold in 1984 to Martin College and subsequently razed.

This structure was donated to the Giles County Historical Society by Butler Harrison, in memory of the graduating class of 1945.
