Am Sonntag den 18. September 2005 fand die feierliche Enthüllung einer Gedenktafel bei Tor 9, der damalige östliche Haupteingang zum Nachtjagdflughafen Venlo, statt. Die Gedenktafel entstand in einer Initiative des „Fördervereins Ehemaliger Fliegerhorst Venlo e.V.“ und soll an die Menschen erinnern, welche auf und durch den Flugplatz gefallen sind.

On Sunday, September 18, 2005, the solemn unveiling of a memorial plaque at Tor 9, the then main eastern entrance to the night hunt Venlo, took place. The commemorative plaque was created in an initiative of the "Förderverein Former Air Base Venlo e.V." and is intended to commemorate the people who fell on and through the airfield
