"LE bassin olympique municipal de Tours ! La piscine Gilbert Bozon a été construite en 1972 et rénovée en 2013. Le résultat : des vestiaires pratiques et bien entretenus, et un bassin couvert de 50 mètres remis à neuf. Seules ombres au tableau : la fermeture en juillet-août et les horaires parfois restreints d'ouverture au public, d'autant que certains couloirs sont réservés aux clubs. Mais le rapport qualité/prix, notamment si l'on investit dans une carte Cité Club, reste imbattable !"
"THE municipal Olympic basin of Tours! The Gilbert Bozon pool was built in 1972 and renovated in 2013. The result: practical and well-maintained changing rooms, and a refurbished 50-metre covered pool. The only shadows on the board are the closure in July-August and the sometimes restricted opening hours to the public, especially since some corridors are reserved for clubs. But the price/quality ratio, especially if you invest in a Cité Club card, remains unbeatable!"

"Gilbert Fernand Charles Bozon, né le 19 mars 1935 à Troyes et mort le 21 juillet 2007 à Tours, est un nageur français spécialiste du dos crawlé.
Médaillé d'argent sur 100 m dos aux Jeux olympiques de 1952 à Helsinki derrière l'Américain Yoshinobu Oyakawa, Bozon avait battu le record d'Europe du 100 m dos la même année alors qu'il s'entraînait au Racing Club des Cheminots de Troyes. Toujours en 1952, il bat le record du monde de la distance en petit bassin à Troyes grâce à un chrono de 1 min 03 s 3. En 1953, il s'approprie la meilleure marque mondiale de l'histoire sur 200 m dos à Alger en 2 min 18 s 4. Il change d'entraîneur et obtient le titre européen en grand bassin sur 100 m dos en 1954 avant de battre un nouveau record du monde en petit bassin sur 100 m dos en 1955 à Troyes (1 min 02 s 1). Enfin, il participa au record du monde réalisé par le relais français 4x100 m 4 nages en 1953.
Il ne parvient pas à remporter de médaille lors des Jeux olympiques de 1956 à Melbourne. Il prend alors sa retraite sportive et devient entraîneur. Il prit par la suite la présidence du club de natation des Enfants Neptune de Tours."

Silver medallist in the 100m backstroke at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki behind American Yoshinobu Oyakawa, Bozon broke the European record for the 100m backstroke the same year while training at the Racing Club des Cheminots de Troyes. Also in 1952, he broke the world record for distance in the small basin of Troyes with a time of 1 min 03 s 3. In 1953, he took the best world record in 200 m backstroke in Algiers in 2 min 18 s 4. He changed coaches and won the European title in 100 m backstroke in 1954 before breaking a new world record in 100 m backstroke in 1955 in Troyes (1 min 02 s 1). Finally, he participated in the world record set by the French 4x100 m 4-swim relay in 1953.
He failed to win a medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. He then retired from sports and became a coach. He later became president of the Neptune Children's Swim Club in Tours."
