Long Description:
The news reported earlier this week that due to the extreme amount of rain received in Oklahoma in the past week, Lake Arcadia is closed indefinitely.

About a week before the lake became 12 feet above normal level, we spotted this box turtle as we drove on Air Depot, between 33rd and 15th. Maybe he knew something was coming, and wanted to escape the hazard? He was half way across the road when we spotted him. This stretch of Air Depot is a very place for deer, and we often spot a dozen of more eating grass in the front yards of residences. It was not surprising to see a deer here as well, so close to the lake.

Earlier this week Air Depot was under a warning because of the lake flooding, with residents warning to be prepared to evacuate.
