"Sur l'esplanade du Mont-Lénigo, deux passionnés invitent, chaque jeudi de l'été, le public au Tonnerre du Croisic, à savoir le tir du canon méridien. Claude Cistac et Alfred Gadeceau ont, en effet, imaginé un système qui, au passage du soleil au méridien, met le feu à la charge du canon. « Ce canon fait appel à l'opto-électronique, à la mécanique et à la pyrotechnie. Il est sans danger », précise Claude Cistac.
Mais Le Croisic possède également, depuis quelques années, un cadran solaire que tout un chacun peut consulter. Situé sur le Mont-Lénigo, au bout du port, il indique, à condition toutefois que le soleil brille, l'heure solaire, différente de l'heure légale. Il est tout à fait possible d'y apporter la correction qui se lit sur un tableau annexé. En saison estivale, les deux Croisicais, qui ont étudié et réalisé l'instrument, se joignent aux vacanciers pour fournir, avec la plus grande habileté, les détails manquant à leurs interrogations.
