established.

Christoffel's footprint is also on the other side as if he had crossed it.
Christoffel:
patron saint of travelers, among others; best known by the legend that he had to carry a small child across the river. While he was busy with that, the child became heavier and heavier, until he almost collapsed. The child turned out to be Christ, who baptized him Christoffel, Christ bearer
