Hinter der Stadtpfarrkirche Purkersdorf, deren Patron der Hl. Jakobus ist, steht auf einem kleinen Platz eine Infotafel, die den Abschnitt des Jakobsweges von der Stadtpfarrkirche Purkersdorf (Jakobuskirche) bis zum Stift Göttweig beschreibt.
Neben einer Karte, auf der die Wegstrecke (mit Kilometerangaben), Pilger-Informationstafeln, Nächtigungsmöglichkeiten, Raststellen, Trinkbrunnen und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu sehen sind, werden auch Kontaktdaten angeboten, die während der Reise nützlich sein könnten.
Darüberhinaus findet man kurze Beschreibungen der Orte, die man auf diesem Abschnitt durchquert.
Und nahe der Infotafel findet man auch eine sehr schöne Statue des Hl. Jakobus.
