This siren is mounted on a telephone pole in front of the fire station. It stands alongside the railroad track on Will Rogers Blvd. It is one of eight sirens in the town of Claremore.

The siren is sounded for weather-related emergencies. In the State of Oklahoma, tornadoes and severe thunderstorms are a real threat and residents rely on the alerts from these sirens. The Claremore Fire Chief is the Emergency Management Director. Sirens are sounded for tornado warnings posted by the National Weather Service.
