This fire station shares the same building as Claremore City Hall. It was built in 1964 on the site of the original Claremore fire depatment which was established in 1907. There are two additional firehouses in this town of approximately 18,580 residents.

The Claremore Fire Department has a total of 47 full-time employees, with 42 firefighters working three shifts on a 24 hr on/48 hr. off schedule. The Department is one of only six Homeland Security Regional Response Units. Housed in this one-story dark brick building with three overhead doors is a fire engine, Region 2 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear & Explosive Unit, a command vehicle and a wild land/brush unit. The department conducts various classes for the public, including First Aid, CPR and fire extinguisher uysage.
