You could say it didn't take much imagination to think of the name of this building or you could admire the practicality to which the Agriculture Society places on giving this building its name. I kinda go to the latter.
According to the Collingwood Agricultural Society's website, www.greatnorthernex.com, the fair started out on property in Duntroon in 1855, later moving to Collingwood and since 1984, on this property on Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township. That makes the fair 164 years old in 2019.
There are 48 acres of developed property. The grounds and buildings can be rented for all kinds of private functions including concerts, gala dinner theatre, horse shows, mud bogs and family bluegrass events
