Located on the Peel Heath, Greengroup landscape cycle route or button walking route. This landmark is a departure point and information provider located on the south side of the nature reserve 'De Zwarte Plakheide. Text signs and its own creative form provide information about the underlying nature area 'De Zwarte Plakheide'.
"The Camiel of the Piel" is inspired by a group of pine trees. At the time before mining, this lone man stood on the large open heath. For decades shepherds and other visitors, this tree formed an orientation point on the large open heathland in the Sevenumse Peel. The tree was called the Camel tree because of its single-headed dromedary silout. Today, this tree group is hidden between buildings and trees of P.I.Ter Peel
