This chapel was built in 1931 within the Stayner Union Cemetery which dates from the 1870s.

This chapel is used to hold bodies briefly before they are buried. It was built in 1931. According to the Township of Clearview's website (http://www.waymarking.com/wm/add.aspx?f=1&guid=95b7c3a9-161b-4264-bf05-12aeefda6036&r=200) the original plot of land was donated by Mr. John Clark in the 1870s after it proved to be unproductive farmland. More land for the cemetery was then purchased from the Buie estate. It is the largest cemetery in Clearview. My mother is interred here.
