Long Description:

The A93 road runs from the city of Perth all the way to Aberdeen via the Highlands of Scotland and Royal Deeside. Before reaching the mountains it passes through the town of Blairgowrie where it crosses the River Ericht into the neighbouring town of Rattray on the east bank of the river.

The river is spanned by a rubble-built bridge with three segmental arches with triangular cutwaters. This replaced the original bridge which was washed away in the 1840s.

The bridge can be viewed from either bank of the river where there are walkways. The town centre of Blairgowrie lies just over the west side of the bridge.
