On E. Main Street, east of the downtown area of Jones, you will find beautiful Beaty-Mulhausen Community Park. There are playgrounds and picnic facilities, but the key feature is the boomerang-shaped fishing pond.

The park is nicely maintained and there is a walking trail which encircles the pond. The park is open from 6:00AM to 11:00PM and is lighted at night. The pond is stocked with various types of fish. A license is required, and there is a minimum of three rods/reels per person, and a limit of three hooks per line. A sign on the restroom building lays out the fishing rules, and reads:

Largemouth Bass - Catch & Release
Crappie - Limit 37
Channel & Blue Catfish - Limit 6
Flathead Catfish - Limit 10 (20" maximum)
Sunfish - No limit
