"5 mois jour pour jour après l’inauguration du Jardin Simone-Veil sur l’autre riche de la Meurthe, le 1er juillet dernier (voir notre précédent article), c’était au tour du skate-park du parc Jean-Mansuy d’être inauguré en ce samedi 1er décembre. Par les officiels mais aussi par de jeunes adeptes de la glisse urbaine.
A cette occasion, de nombreuses personnes s’étaient rassemblées autour du maire David Valence, de l’adjoint aux Sports Nicolas Blosse, de la vice-présidente du Conseil Départemental Caroline Privat-Mattioni et de Sylvie Siffermann, sous-préfète de l’arrondissement de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. L’occasion également, pour le premier magistrat, de revenir sur cet ambitieux projet. Un projet qui s’inscrit dans une démarche globale de redynamisation du centre-ville, et qui représente un investissement total de 503 412 euros. Sur cette somme, 109 330 euros ont été financés par le Conseil Départemental des Vosges sous forme de subvention, tandis que l’Etat a apporté un financement à hauteur de 150 000 euros, au titre du fonds de soutien à l’investissement public local.
« Avec la réalisation de ce skate-park, nous avons souhaité mettre la jeunesse au coeur de la ville, afin de contribuer à la redynamisation du centre-ville. Car ce projet est une étape vers cette redynamisation, mais c’est aussi un message, que Saint-Dié-des-Vosges se tourne vers l’avenir et fait le pari de la jeunesse. La centralité est donc l’une des caractéristiques de cet équipement, tout comme son intégration dans le paysage. Dans le paysage déodatien et dans le grand paysage vosgien. Ce qui explique le choix des couleurs et la préservation des plus beaux arbres. D’une surface de 1300 m², le skate-park de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges se compose de nombreuses structures en béton de type rampes, dont un « bol » profond de 1,80m. Etant homologué par la Fédération Française de Roller Skating, il pourra de plus accueillir des compétitions de skate-board, de long-board, de rollers, de BMX et autres trottinettes."
