As described by the NGS in 1963 (although already monumented by the CGS in 1942):
"3.15 MI N FROM CEDAR BAYOU. ABOUT 3.15 MILES NORTH ALONG THE CROSBY-CEDAR BAYOU ROAD FROM THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH AT CEDAR BAYOU, 200 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER OF THE JUNCTION OF BARKALOW ROAD, 12 1/2 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE CROSBY-CEDAR BAYOU ROAD, SET IN THE TOP OF THE NORTH END OF THE EAST CONCRETE HEAD WALL OF A CULVERT, AND ABOUT 15 INCHES ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE ROAD."
Save for the reference of the Assembly of God Church (which is no longer there, or has been renamed since then), the NGS description is still very accurate. The BM is embedded in an old / no-longer needed concrete culvert several yards North of one of Cary Bayou's drainage ditches on Crosby Cedar Bayou Road, just .7mi South of IH-10 and ~150 feet North of the road's intersection with Barkaloo Road. The disk is on the northern end of the culvert, a few inches south of the culvert's protective wall.
The NGS' currently posted coordinates ("N 29 47 52.92 W 094 57 35.82", or "N 29° 47.882 W 94° 57.597") were spot on: my measurements were the same, based on readings within 10' accuracy and 10+ reading averages..
The station was recovered in good condition.
