Considering that the sign at the farm entrance advertises deer processing, I assume this is a barn that is still in use. The quilt is displayed on the south side of the barn, and can be easily seen from the road.
The barn quilt is #1 on the Barn Quilt Geo Trail in Blackwell, which takes you to barn quilts around the city, in rural areas and in the city where painted quilts are on display.
The Vermont quilt has an orange square background. Brown square corners/points are the next layer (4 of them) which protrude from the back of the four teal squares layed diagonal on the board. Inside that is a green four-star, and inside that a dark green four pinwheels that are triangular in shape. I estimate the size to be about 5' square. The barn is on the north side of W. Adobe Rd. (E0130 Rd.), east of NU street.
Your Visit: So much fun to find these barn quilts all around rural Blackwell. We've lived in this state for 23 years and this is my first time to the area. So many barn quilts to find!
